A modern, conceptual series of three paintings that, together, make a bold statement. The series captures a pet peeve. That is, when people “prettily” place coffee cups everywhere but where they belong – in the trash.
Though a small gesture, it actually reveals a more complex human behavior on how we manage internal dissonance. Here we recognize that our actions are lazy and socially unacceptabled. So we reframe them in a way that silences the little voice saying what we’re doing is wrong.
